The Birch Hill Colony operates a 700 head cow/calf operations and they take all of their commercial calves to the rail through their own feed lot.
Since 2008 Birch Hill Colony have diversified into the pure bred Angus business. In order to control the genetics that they had been purchasing from Aspen Hill Red Angus, they bought the foundation genetics that had been working so well for them. Heart Valley Angus and Aspen Hill Angus have their sale together every March as part of a joint venture and are selling two year old bulls. These bull are not pushed, making sure that they last and give you your money's worth.
